Steam Applications
Preset to 100°F,120°F,180°F,210°F, or 240°F set points, HAT valves react to prevent inefficient loss of steam and optimize steam use. The actuator is located down-steam of the inlet plug for protection from pressure and contamination.
Scald Applications
In safety showers and eyewash stations, Therm-O-Tech HAT/RA valves can protect employees from the effect of solar heated water lines. Scald protection HAT valves are reverse-acting, bleeding off hot water when it goes above 95°F.
Freeze Protection
In low-temperature applications, Therm-O-Tech HAT valves automatically bleed lines to keep water moving when temperatures near the freezing point. This prevents costly damage and pipe breakage. When the water temperature is safely above the 35°F set point, it closes.

Direct or Reverse Acting Temperature Control Valves
The US/S-X and US/S-XR valves Thermoloid® sensor/controller element may be placed against the process line or pipe with the optional weld-o-let or band-o-let, or in the line with the integral 3/4 NPT-M bushing.
